With so many video games titles being released every year, it gets hard for players to choose which game to play and which to skip. During covid just like in any other industry, video game developers have also felt the brunt of the pandemic and there haven’t been a lot of game releases. That said, it might be an opportunity for you to play all the games that you might have skipped. To get you on your way, here is a list of six games you can start with.

The Last of Us 2
The harrowing adventure of Ellie and Abby, two unforgettable women who through their journey have told us about the disease of hatred and the horror of revenge. Artfully acted, suspended between tense moments of action, surprising exploration and poignant lyrical slowdowns, the second part of The Last of Us is a violent and brutal video game, but at the same time it expresses a powerful non-violent message.
It may hurt to play it, it will surely make you suffer, but it is an experience that you will not forget and when you finish it it will take a while to start another title, still lost in the pain and in the greatness of this post-apocalyptic America, devastated. from the spores of the Cordyceps fungus.
DOOM
Like a bolt from the blue, DOOM returns 23 years after its birth. A grand return of an old school shooter that has been left to forget for too long, thanks to an idSoftware that wanted to bet on this historic brand after a long absence.
In this remake, the Doom Guy (renamed Doom Slayer) returns to hell with a respectable technical sector, frenetic gameplay, incessant metal music, continuous hordes of demons and a lot, too much violence. All without a minimum drop-in frame rate even on consoles. Just a few days ago the second chapter came out, and the common opinion says that it presents significant improvements over its predecessor. What more can I say? Welcome back to us, DOOM!
Borderlands 3
Of all the Borderlands, three is perhaps the best one yet. Developers at Gearbox software have really out done themselves this time. The game lets you explore many more new worlds. In the course of the story, you get to unravel the mysteries an ancient civilization left behind, all the while battling evil corporations and tackling cults. The new gear introduced in Borderlands 3 is absolutely smashing and fans were not disappointed while trying new weapons and armors.
If you want to check out the new gear you can always use Borderlands 3 Save Editor. It’s a work around which lets you edit save files and make all kinds of changes to your character. With BL3 Save Editor you can add any gear to the character. For simply trying the gear it’s a great thing, but we wouldn’t want you to miss the whole story line would we.

Dark Souls
The first chapter of the From Software trilogy is the one that contributed to the rise of a new type of action RPG, that of “soulslike”. As with the aforementioned Doom many years ago (when first person shooters were called “doomlike”), Dark Souls has reinvented a genre and perfected it.
Within a world as fascinating as it is complex, full of subplots and hidden stories, Miyazaki and his team need a completely new combat system that, to date, has been a precursor for many other titles. Moreover, it offers us a difficult and satisfying gameplay and a breathtaking artistic style that act as a launching pad for a saga that has now become a must have.
Red Dead Redemption 2
Although the first chapter is remembered with great affection and nostalgia, Red Dead Redemption 2 exponentially improves its characteristics and its best-known qualities. Completely opposite to the adrenaline-pumping adventures of GTA, the title gives the player total freedom to enjoy the typical landscapes of the Old West and a very long storyline full of twists.
The deep characterization of the characters and the ability to describe in detail a dying age, the script of exquisite workmanship and an excellent acting strength are the great qualities of a melancholy and wonderful game, just like his sunsets.
Stardew Valley
A farming simulator with old school graphics, Stardew Valley is a treat to play. From growing crops to raising all kinds of farm animals, you get to do everything that an actual farmer does and more. The game does not stop at farming, there is a whole town you can explore and a slew of NPCs you can interact with and take part in their storylines to progress in the game.
One of the best things about Stardew Valley is the virtually unknown number of easter eggs and secrets the programmer has put in the game. It’s always a nice surprise when you stumble upon an easter egg. If you are planning to play the game, we will hint at the first easter egg, which is Stardew Valley Favorite Thing. Now what it does, is for you to find out.
